Em bobinas de corrente alternada, o consumo de corrente na fase de aperto é significativamente mais elevado do que na fase de retenção. Portanto, estas não devem nunca ser operadas sem um núcleo magnético, uma vez que existe risco de sobreaquecimento, podendo queimar a bobina. Um efeito semelhante ocorre quando as válvulas são operadas com solenóides de corrente alternada com frequências de relógio (Lig/Deslig) muito altas. Assim, as bobinas ficam muitas vezes na gama de alto consumo de energia e podem também sobreaquecer. Para estas aplicações, recomenda-se o uso de bobinas RC com conector do retificador.
Em bobinas de tensão contínua podem ocorrer durante o processo de fechamento picos de tensão muito elevados. Por isso, nestas bobinas, recomendamos o uso de conectores com circuitos de proteção.
Torque de aperto para porcas de fixação da bobina magnética: 3 Nm
Para bobinas magnéticas do tipo RC utilizar conector do retificador HK SP 669.
